English-language notice
This page is an English explanation of the published Korean terms for customer convenience. The Korean terms remain the governing version if a translation differs, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
1. Purpose and service operator
These terms define the rights and responsibilities of customers and HIUSA for services offered through hiusa.co.kr. HIUSA is operated by JIN EXPRESS LTD, 645 Lunt Ave, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007-6400, USA.
2. Services
HIUSA may provide purchasing assistance, payment assistance, a receiving address, inspection, storage, consolidation, export preparation, international forwarding, customs-related support, tracking, returns, and related logistics. The exact scope is the service shown in the accepted request or quote.
3. Accounts and eligibility
Customers must provide accurate information, keep credentials secure, and promptly update contact and delivery details. A customer may not impersonate another person, misuse the service, interfere with the site, or submit unlawful information or goods. HIUSA may suspend or close an account for material misuse or legal necessity.
4. Requests and contract formation
A customer submits product links, parcel details, or logistics instructions. HIUSA may reject an incomplete, inaccurate, unlawful, restricted, technically infeasible, or unsupported request. A service contract is formed when HIUSA accepts the request and provides confirmation in the account, request record, or other notice.
5. Quotes, prices, and currency
The quote or payment request identifies the applicable amount and currency. The total may include product cost, retailer delivery, sales tax, purchasing or processing fees, receiving and optional handling, international freight, insurance, duties, taxes, return costs, and other disclosed charges. Weight, dimensions, exchange rates, retailer prices, customs decisions, or customer changes may require an adjustment.
6. Payment
Customers may use only the payment methods displayed for the transaction, which may include bank transfer, deposit, card, or another approved method. Card payment is available only after the relevant payment gateway is active. The customer authorizes the displayed amount by approving and submitting payment. Government charges may be collected separately by customs, a broker, or a carrier.
7. Receiving, identification, inspection, and storage
Customers must use the assigned receiving details and identify each incoming parcel. Standard inspection is limited to the service selected and does not guarantee authenticity, hidden condition, function, fit, or regulatory compliance. Additional inspection, repacking, consolidation, storage, or disposal charges may apply when disclosed.
8. Restricted and prohibited goods
HIUSA does not accept goods prohibited by law, customs, carriers, or safety rules. Examples include weapons, explosives, flammable or leaking materials, currency, counterfeit goods, certain medicines, perishable or temperature-controlled products, and unidentified or inadequately packaged goods. HIUSA may refuse, isolate, return, surrender, or lawfully dispose of such goods, with related costs charged to the responsible customer.
9. Customs and customer declarations
The customer is responsible for accurate item descriptions, quantities, values, origin, recipient information, permits, and intended use. Customs authorities make final decisions on admissibility, classification, value, duties, and taxes. HIUSA does not divide or alter shipments to evade taxes or legal controls.
10. Transportation and delivery
HIUSA arranges transportation through applicable warehouses, brokers, and carriers. Delivery dates are estimates. Customs review, carrier events, weather, force majeure, inaccurate addresses, recipient availability, or required payments can delay delivery. Risk and compensation for loss or damage are subject to the selected service, carrier rules, insurance, proof of value, and applicable law.
11. Changes and cancellation
A customer should request a change or cancellation immediately. HIUSA may honor the request only while the relevant purchase, handling, or shipment can still be stopped. Costs already incurred and nonrefundable retailer, carrier, tax, and service amounts remain payable. See the returns and refunds policy for stage-specific details.
12. Returns and refunds
Retailer return rules apply to purchased products. The customer is generally responsible for return freight, restocking charges, duties, taxes, and services already performed, except for costs caused by HIUSA's error. Approved refunds may exclude nonrefundable costs and are returned to the original payment method when available.
13. Unclaimed goods and urgent action
Customers must respond to notices and pay amounts due. For unidentified, unsafe, prohibited, abandoned, or long-held goods, HIUSA may move, isolate, return, surrender, sell where lawful, or dispose of the goods after applicable notice. The customer remains responsible for storage and disposition costs to the extent permitted by law.
14. Service availability
HIUSA may temporarily interrupt or change a service for maintenance, security, capacity, carrier availability, law, or events outside reasonable control. HIUSA will provide notice when practical and will continue handling accepted transactions according to their status and applicable obligations.
15. Privacy and security
HIUSA handles personal information as described in the English privacy policy and the published Korean privacy policy. Customers are responsible for their account credentials and must notify HIUSA promptly of suspected unauthorized use.
16. Intellectual property
Site content, branding, and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Customers may use them only as needed to access HIUSA services and may not copy, resell, modify, or exploit them without permission.
17. Notices and changes
HIUSA may provide notices through the website, customer account, or registered contact details. Material term changes are published before they take effect as required by law. A change does not remove rights that already apply to an accepted transaction.
18. Disputes and contact
Customers should first contact HIUSA so the transaction records can be reviewed. The published Korean terms provide that disputes are handled under applicable law and in a court with proper jurisdiction. Contact JIN EXPRESS LTD at +1 224-415-4669 or through the signed-in support area.
